A powerful image with some great textures and contrasts. It gives a moving blend of power and poignancy, not least because of the relationship between the flowers (poppies?) and the dramatic clouds.
The minimal foreground detail is nicely judged (not too little as to leave the image hollow, not to much as to lose the contrast) and the positioning of the flowers slight right of centre is very effective.
Maybe a slightly lower angle with more foreground would have been nice, and in some ways the cloud colours are a bit too much, perhaps the image could all be shifted slightly towards the grey-scale? But these are nit-picks as it is a fine conception done well.
Surprenant cette sensation d'un ciel écrasant et ces fleurs qui résistent, droites, comme si elles soutenaient ce couvercle céleste. Les couleurs Martin sont superbes.
