Amazing capture. It gives me a sense of peacefulness and magic, as the picture seems warm and cold at the same time. I love the balance of the composition and the pheasant in the "centre"—though it's at the bottom of the photograph, everything (both the colour shades and the lines) converges to that single bird, and when you stare at it, the rest of the picture seems to fade away. Brilliant photograph, once again. And congratulations on the DD!

oh, i somehow missed this one... i just saw it in someone's faves...
i love pheasants, but unfortunately we don't have them around here, where i live now... i used to nearly trod on them when i was underway in childhood days - you'll know the typical sound of their air filled bodies when they fly off, haha... :D

fantastic photo - thank you so much for sharing and belated congrats to your wonderful DD... :D

This photograph speaks to me. I'm not sure why, perhaps it's the depth of color, the composition of silver and gold with the frost and the drying corn stalks. Perhaps it's because I'm a home-grown country girl and this appeals to memories of my childhood and seeing these birds jet around all over the place. No matter what the reason for it is, this to me is breathtakingly beautiful. I want to live in this picture. Thank you so much for sharing this.
